New Superhero Movies Set To Land

Ant Man is the latest offering from Marvel Studios. Starring Paul Rudd as the titular character, Ant Man himself will eventually be linked in with The Avengers universe. In another big coup for Marvel, they have announced the casting of 19-year-old Tom Holland as the new Spiderman.

Spiderman will make his Marvel Studios debut in next year's Captain America: Civil War alongside Cap' (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr).
While the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it's officially known, has been dominating cinemas rival comic book company DC's response is finally taking shape.
DC revealed two trailers that have garnered much excitement online at San Diego's Comic-Con. The first, and arguably the most anticipated movie event of next year, was the trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This will represent the first time the characters have shared the silver screen in a live action film.

The film, a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel, is set to be released in March of 2016. As the film's title suggests, despite the obvious conflict between Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman the film will act as an origin story for the Justice League, DC's answer to Marvel's Avengers.

The second revelation from DC was for the Suicide Squad film, which will be set in the same universe as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and looks to also be featuring Ben Affleck's Batman. The Suicide Squad looks to be an altogether darker film. The Squad itself is made up of villains such as The Joker, Deadshot and Killer Croc.
