Fresh from two nights playing in Belfast, Take That will be performing at the 3Arena (formerly known as The O2 and The Point) on the 8th and 9th. The events come as part of the Take That Live Tour which sees them play 25 dates across Ireland and the UK.
The show will feature songs from their latest album III, which was released last November, alongside the greatest hits from their catalogue stretching all the way back to their first major release back in 1993.
Due to their longevity and the record-breaking Progress Tour Take That are considered to be the UK's most successful live act ever.
Some fans may have harboured doubts about III and the upcoming tour due to Jason Orange's sudden departure from the band just before they entered the studio to record the latest release. Combined with Robbie Williams taking yet another break to focus on his solo career and spend time with his family their very future was cast into doubt.
MusicLuckily Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald decided to go forward as a trio and the band's success has shown no signs of slowing. III shot straight to number one in the charts while the new tour was heralded as “electrifying” and “simply spectacular” by the Belfast Telegraph, who added that the boys “show no signs of burning out or fading away.”
Take That's live shows in the past have been noted for the high production quality and aesthetic qualities. The review in the Telegraph likened parts of the current show to Cirque Du Soleil.
